I like books, theatre, films, art, sailing, yoga, old roses, the sea, the rain, nature and cooking. (I’ve been doing more cooking lately — black beans, red beans, black eyed peas). My greatest passion is writing.
Married to criminal defense attorney and preservationist John Reed (Yale, Harvard), we have 5 children. I like living in the French Quarter; in Rhode Island on the water, literally, our cottage perches like a heron at the edge of the sea; and in Dauphin Island, Alabama, the Redneck Riviera, where I walk the beach with characters who talk to me.
